Upon returning to Oklahoma, Neal served as vice president of Downtown Tulsa Unlimited for seven years working in downtown marketing and  development. Taking time to raise a family, Neal lead Mayfest for four years through her own public relations firm. \n \nWhile serving two terms as a City Councilor for district 9, Neal concurrently served as the Director for Tulsa’s Early childhood education campaign which led to her appointment by Mayors Kathy Taylor and Dewey Bartlett as Director of Community Development and Education at the city of Tulsa.\n \nIn 2010, Neal joined the University of Tulsa and served for 9 years as TU Vice President of Public Affairs, Research and Economic Development. In 2017, TU named Neal as the Executive Director of Gilcrease Museum and the Helmerich Center for American Research which TU manages on behalf of the City of Tulsa.  \n \nNeal is married to Rick Neal and they have two sons, Joe and Jack.\n
